Ishan Kishan Returns as India Drop Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for Fourth T20I
India dropped Vaibhav Sooryavanshi despite his explosive 45 off 19 balls as Ishan Kishan returned for the fourth T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park. Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl as India made two changes.
Sooryavanshi had featured in the second and third T20Is in place of Kishan, who was sidelined with an injury. India also made a change to their bowling attack, bringing in Mayank Yadav for experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
India, who have already sealed the five-match series 3-0, made two changes to their playing XI as they look to extend their dominance over New Zealand and take a 4-0 lead in the series.
New Zealand, meanwhile, will be eager to avoid another defeat after losing the first three matches.
India captain Shreyas Iyer announced the changes at the toss, saying, "Kishan replaces Sooryavanshi and Mayank Yadav in for Bhuvneshwar Kumar."
Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first in the fourth T20I at Eden Park in Auckland. India have already taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series after winning the first three matches.
New Zealand's playing XI comprises Finn Allen, Tim Seifert (w), Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Bevon Jacobs, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (c), Nathan Smith, Adam Milne, Jacob Duffy and Matthew Fisher.
India's playing XI comprises Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (w), Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer (c), Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Naman Dhir, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mayank Yadav and Prince Yadav.
With the series already secured, India will now aim to maintain their winning run and extend their lead to 4-0, while New Zealand will look to prevent another loss on home soil.
